To meet today's striving to raise the living standards of animals in general, including chickens broilers, and the needs of final consumers which we are ourselves and also following the recommendations of European and world’s organizations Res-Drob is joining the European Chicken Commitment  - initiative to improve the welfare of chickens farmed in Europe and world every day.

Therefore we declare:

  2. Introducing the maximum density on farms to 30 kg / m2;
  3. Adopting breeds that demonstrate higher welfare outcomes which meet the criteria of the RSPCA Broiler Breed Welfare Assessment Protocol;
  4. Meeting improved environmental standards:
    • At least 50 lux of light, including natural light;
    • At least two metres of usable perch space and two pecking substrates per 1000 birds;
    • Improvement of air quality on farms (Annex 2.3 of the COUNCIL DIRECTIVE 2007/43/EC of 28 June 2007 laying down minimum rules for the protection of chickens kept for meat production);
    • No cages or multi-tier systems;
  5. Adopting controlled atmospheric stunning (CAS) using inert gas or multi-phase systems, or effective electrical stunning without live inversion, when this solution is available in industry;
